1928

Witney High Street

J Millin & Son is established on Witney High Street. In the early days, Model T Fords, tractors and Post Office bicycles got the business started.
Three generations

A family reputation

The Millin family trades at the High Street site for three further generations, building a reputation for work of a high standard, a professional service and keeping abreast of developments in motor cars.
The first MOT

Witney’s first MOT station

When the original ten year test is introduced, J Millin & Son becomes Witney’s first MOT station.
2005

A new chapter on Station Lane

Roger Millin decides it is time to retire and sell the High Street site for development. Long-time employee Daniel Cox and his good friend Shaun Robinson take over the business and move to new premises on Station Lane. Darren Harwood, another J Millin & Son employee of ten years, joins the team.
Today

Re-investment and growth

Once settled, the business re-invests. Steady growth brings a new technician, Colan Parslow, and a dedicated MOT tester, Maurice Kershaw. Five technicians, with over 140 years of shared experience.
